Community Alerts App is where the community can do their part in helping to combat crime in Malaysia and to report SOS emergency cases.
Technology has advanced so rapidly in the mobile world and therefore arises the need for Mobile Apps to help reduce crime rates and to speed up the SOS emergency reporting process.
Community Alerts name is an original idea came from YAB MB Johor and application features is conceived through intensive discussion between PDRM Johor Contingent
“IPK Johor” and GFSB. GFSB is proud to collaborate with PDRM, JOHOR in developing
the Community Alerts – Smartphone Applications that is mainly to assist the public users to send an alert requesting for rescue situation to PDRM JOHOR in a
“Single Click”.
Originally an idea from the Menteri Besar of Johor, Community Alerts was developed after having intensive discussion sessions with the police of Johor (IPK Johor). The ultimate purpose of this app is to assist the general public to send instant alert to the police in case of an emergency, serving as a one-click panic button.
The objectives of Community Alerts are to speed up the rescue process and at the same time received accurate rescue information via Mobile ICT Technology with the accuracy of ID or Passport Number, Full Name, Photo, Location Info (GPS + SMS Redundancy). In accordance with it, Johor can become a Safe City to attract more investor and improves Quality of Life.
To date, we had continuous increment number of Community Alerts “CommAlerts” mobile application number of user.
On top of that, this app also helps to shorten the time taken to send rescue as it enables the public to share accurate information with the police, subsequently making it easier for the police to narrow down the location of the incident when required.

With the advent of advanced technology in the mobile world, a need has arisen for Mobile Apps to help reduce crime rates and to speed up the SOS emergency reporting process.
Our mobile app comes in both DEMO and LIVE Mode where the former is set as the default mode. In the DEMO mode, users are allowed to try out the app’s features and see how it functions in case of emergencies. However, the real distress signal will only be sent out to Police CCC Operator if the app is set to LIVE mode. Please be reminded to only use the LIVE mode when in actual trouble.
The purpose of this app is to further improve the community’s safety and lifestyle. With the rise of social problems, crime rates have also risen. With Community Alerts, we are hopeful that crime rates can be reduced and emergency cases can be reported much faster with this life-saving app.
